The Huon Valley
The Huon Valley Council covers 5,497km, is the southernmost local government area in Australia and a 30 minute drive from Hobart. The area is rich in agriculture and horticulture, aquaculture, tourism and hospitality, health services and forestry.
A beautiful rural area, the majority of the population is serviced across five main townships, each with their own unique needs. The Huon Valley attracts a diverse population and foresees considerable growth expectations of 21.3% over a 25 year period. This growth is driven largely by migration both nationally and internationally.

Prior experience in local government will be viewed favourably however, is not essential, as would experience in an innovative service industry.
A tertiary qualification in business, management or a related field, or substantial equivalent experience is essential.
