Blueline Laundry Inc. is an entity of the Catholic Archdiocese and commenced operations in 1893 as Bayview laundry, established by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd to provide employment for disadvantaged women and girls. A statewide operation, today Blueline is Tasmania’s largest industrial laundry, with state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly commercial facilities in Hobart and Launceston.
Among its many clients, Blueline provides laundry services to organisations in the hospitality, aged care and healthcare sectors, including several of Tasmania’s leading hotels and its two main public hospitals. With the purpose: to ‘Improve the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities through the provision of rewarding work opportunities in the laundry and other industries’, Blueline Laundry is committed to the training, education and development of its people.
The Board of Blueline Laundry is excited to commence the search for a visionary leader who will drive continued growth, sustain a business improvement program already underway, and contribute to the future strategic direction of the organisation.
